Safety Tips
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Most members are here for the same reason you are — a real connection. But every dating platform attracts a small number of bad actors, and long-distance dating has its own risks. Follow these rules and you’ll avoid almost all of them.
The golden rule: never send money
Never send money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or financial details to someone you met online — no matter how long you’ve been chatting or how genuine the emergency sounds. Hospital bills, visa fees, plane tickets, customs charges, a sick family member — these are the classic scripts of romance scams. A genuine partner will never ask. Requesting money is a bannable offence on Pinay Partner: report it immediately and we will act.
While chatting
- Look for the verified badge. Every woman on Pinay Partner completes a video verification before her profile goes live, and Premium members can watch the video itself. If something still feels off, ask for a live video call — refusing repeatedly is a red flag.
- Keep conversations on Pinay Partner. Scammers push to move to other apps quickly, away from our monitoring.
- Don’t share your home address, workplace, or financial situation early on.
- Reverse-image-search photos if you’re suspicious — stolen photos are the foundation of fake profiles.
- Be wary of instant declarations of love, sob stories, or pressure of any kind.
Meeting in person
- Video call several times before booking any travel.
- Meet in a public place — a café or mall, never a private residence for a first meeting.
- Tell a friend or family member where you’re going and who you’re meeting.
- Arrange your own transport and accommodation, and keep control of your documents.
- If travelling internationally, register with your embassy and buy travel insurance.
Report and block
Every profile has a Report or block option. Use it for anything suspicious — money requests, fake photos, harassment, or members who seem underage. Reports go straight to our moderation team, are handled confidentially, and the reported member is never told who reported them.
Protect your account
- Use a strong, unique password.
- Never share your login details — we will never ask for your password.
- Log out on shared devices.
